Stop Two of the 2014 Street League Nike SB World Tour in Los Angeles was a non-stop nail biter. The Galen Center at USC housed a sold out crowd with an exciting LA skate atmosphere. Each heat was filled with edge-of-your-seat moments thanks to the highly talented roster of SLS Pros that competed and an amazing, innovative course built by California Skateparks. The Los Angeles event was the turning point for defending 2013 Super Crown Champ, Chris Cole, to compete in this year’s Super Crown Championship. After maintaining seventh through most of Prelims, Cole fell short and was bumped out of the Finals by Paul Rodriguez in Heat Four. And for the first time in SLS history, Cole won’t be in the Super Crown Championship as a result of Chaz Ortiz’s second place finish. The Last time Chaz Ortiz competed in the Super Crown Championship was in 2012 which he placed 3rd. Judging by Chaz’s performance in the Los Angeles Finals, we can tell he’s hungry for the Super Crown Championship. Chaz finished second overall with less than 2 points from first-place, undefeated Juggernaut, Nyjah Huston. Street League Skateboarding. Facebook:.
