Hey guys Bill here… a whole bunch of you have been sending me a video clip that claims to show a living megalodon. It’s not a very long clip, but it does show a huge, monster of a fish swimming by the camera view. The clip was sent in by viewers like enrique myhre, Charlie Duckworth, Dylan Kulp, Graham Tassie, Ramiro Angel and Maggie Sealake ( just to name a few). Now as you might expect, what all these curious people want to know is… It is real. Or is another video hoax just trying to get our attention. I couldn’t find anything from all my usual sources - So I started looking at the video itself. It was published in November of 2014 by a channel called DMC VIDS… The title claims it is a Megalodon caught on tape in Canada. But look at this. Here is the exact same video published 2 months earlier. In this one, it just says it is a giant shark and asks if it might be a megalodon.??. Thats a little suspicious… but that doesn’t mean it isn’t a megalodon… I think what we need to do is check in with the billschannel “A” team… In this case Dr. Simon Pierce from Marine Megafauna foundation. Simon is leading world expert in whale sharks - the largest living fish in the world. Now I have the official answer right here, but first, I want you to let it be known what your answer is. This time it’s ok to whisper if you want. We’ll give the rest of the family a break… but you still have to say it… You ready. And go. Ok, hopefullu everyone is on record with their answer so I can now reveal the official answer based on Simon’s examination of the evidence. And here we go…. The video showing a very large ocean creature has been examined. Based on this examination, the claim that the video shows a megalodon has been determined to be… Are you ready for this. Fake… Oh no that means one more megalodon claim goes down the drain. According to Simon, what we are looking at is nothing more than a basking shark. The basking shark is the second biggest living fish ( next to the whale shark). It can grow up to over 12 Meters or about 40 feet. and weigh up to 18 Metric tonnes. And if you do a search for basking sharks on youtube, guess what. You will find dozens of videos that look just like this one…. I’m kinda happy, you know why. OK… I want to thank everyone who submitted this video to me and remember, if you have a picture or a video and you are not sure whether it is real or not… send it over to me at [email protected] and I will check it out..
