LoJack for Laptops / Computrace introduced Intel Anti-Theft Technology - if you are LoJack protected, the "poison pill" command will brick the laptop until revived by the authorized account holder. If you have a new laptop, don't forget that you have to activate the service, even though it is included software bundles it is not turned on by the manufacturer.
