TRANSCRIPTION. Hi, my name is Andy Goldenberg and I am the Trailerist. Tonight, we look at the trailer to Money Monster. CUE: Money Monster LOGO. In this fictional world, there is a tv show that is more popular than any show on TV. Cue: Opening. Look at that. It’s a financial show on one of the big networks but everyone in this coffee shop is watching. That’s not that weird, though. Cause everyone in this bar is doing the same thing. And man oh man, look at all the smiles on everybody’s faces. Except these two guys. Cue: How do I know it won’t blow up. Yeah, so the answer to your previous question was “You DON’T know it won’t blow up. You know, if I have to sneeze, or my arm twitches, or my carpal tunnel syndrome flares up, we all die. I could have said all of that, but I’m not an actor. And it’s true what you hear, you get in front of a camera under the hot lights and all the crew and you forget everything you’re supposed to say. Cue: My honest job pays me $14 an hour. How is that even fair. Hold up. Wait a minute. You’re getting paid $14. I work at this station every day getting coffee, running this errand, being a whipping boy, doing manual labor hours and hours as I break my back and constantly get yelled at and I’m doing this all for college credit. I’m an intern and I think they’re taking advantage of me, but, oh, wait a second. What were you saying about how your job isn’t fair. Oh, sorry. You have a gun and an explosive device. I was just trying to show you that some people have it worse and don’t go to extremes to make a point. I know, I know. It’s a delicate situation. Cue: Don’t talk to me about delicate situations. No, no, no. But you don’t understand. There is a reason why all this is happening. And we have sponsors and I can’t exactly go on TV and divulge the secret or all of this is going to blow up in our faces… Ugh… I’m sorry. I know you’re eighty feet from a bomb. But I’m having a really bad day over here. Can you try and step into my shoes here for a moment. You’re so selfish. (Sighs)Like everyone on this street corner who is trying to be a breaking news media mogul. CUE: Street corner. First of all, this seems like a really poor job done by the police force. There’s an active gunman and they’re not evacuating the streets. But come on, people. There. Active. Gunman. Don’t stand on the sidewalk hoping to get a glimpse. Watch the show from that awesome bar or coffeeshop we saw earlier. Trust me. They’ll have it on tv in there. That’s why people go there. To watch the show and sometimes buy a drink.
