Grand Theft Auto V (GTA V) is an action-adventure video game developed by Rockstar North and published by Rockstar Games. This is the first major title of the Grand Theft Auto series of video games for the marketing of Grand Theft Auto IV in 2008. Fifteenth game series counting the additional content and mobile events, GTA V is the fifth official part of the saga and the second installment of the franchise straddling two generations of consoles (GTA 2 is released on the fifth and sixth generation of consoles). This episode takes place in the fictional city of Los Santos and the surrounding area, in the fictional state of San Andreas, inspired by the true city of Los Angeles and Southern California. A previous version of the city of Los Santos was already present from one of the three cities included in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas (2004) and in the original game Grand Theft Auto (1997).
