NOTES:. This has been described as "possibly the best Windows laptop ever", which really isn't an overstatement. It has an amazing 15" InfinityEdge 4K display which is virtually borderless, giving you an immersive content viewing experience. It's also advertised as being the only laptop display to cover 100% of the Adobe RGB color gamut. Apart from the amazing engineering with the display, the design of the rest of the laptop is also really impressive. It is apparently cut from a single block of aluminium, and has a carbon fibre palmrest, both of which are really durable materials. SPECS: Intel's Skylake 6th generation processors, up to 16GB RAM, the option for a PCIe SSD, and an optional NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960M graphics card. Lenovo Yoga 900. CATEGORY: Ultraportable / transformer. NOTES:. You can't look at this laptop without noticing something very interesting about the hinge. It's called a "watchband hinge", and is apparently made of 813 individual components. This allows the Yoga to flip 360 degrees, and gives it four modes of use: laptop, stand, tent and tablet. SPECS: Intel Core i5 / i7 CPU, 8GB RAM, between 256GB and 512GB SSD. 13.3" Quad HD screen with an amazing 276PPI. Origin EON-15X:. CATEGORY: Gaming powerhouse. NOTES:. This is the computer you want if you need heaps of CPU performance and plenty of GPU horsepower. Obviously, if you want the best hardware, portability won't be on your mind. And that's lucky, because the EON-15X measures in at just 3.5cm thick, or 1.4 inches. In my opinion, the design's quite nice. And you can even customise the lid by sending your own artwork to Origin. SPECS: Desktop class Core i5 and i7 processors (literally desktop processors inside a laptop, some of them overclocked). In terms of graphics, from a 4GB GTX 965M to an 8GB GTX 980M. 2133MHz DDR4 RAM. 15.6" display, which (depending on the model) can run at a 4K resolution. |--| #5 - Lenovo Y700 (14").
