League of Legends - Kennen vs. Xin Zhao (Top)

Coming back from behind is going to be a theme for this weekend's batch of videos. We start things off with Kennen in a particularly dangerous lane and get to show off some of the changes Kennen has received, which I'd say are largely for the better than worse. The danger in laning against Xin comes from just how much sustain he has as he can heal up from even somewhat unfavorable trades to still break even or ultimately come out ahead. While I'm not gated by mana, my spells are expensive and have long CDs early, plus the W range was recently nerfed, making this a tough lane early. My path to victory here relies on just farming up and preparing for the team fight phase where Kennen is deadly. My objective in the fight is to provide disruption and potentially space the enemy out. Sivir's ult and Nami passive help me get into position for the Maelstrom, and once the enemy team has been split up, Zac and Zed can pick them off, with Nami disrupting any escaping stragglers, winning us the fight. From there, we have our pick of objectives, be it dragon, baron, or towers. Even though the enemy has a stronger late game, we simply build up our stock of objectives and then we can power through before they have a chance to win. Since both Viktor and Xin are immobile, they have trouble escaping from my ult, making them easy targets (Jinx tended to hang too far back). It was still possible for the enemy to win this with their late game scaling, but positioning was going to be more important than ever to secure them the win. Xin was constantly caught out (easily baited), and Shyv had trouble moving around me due to the Rylai's. Kennen was changed in the recent patch, and I have to definitely say he is stronger than before, or at least more reliable. Due to my top laners getting changed up as of the mage update, he might be making more appearances on the channel. None of his skins in the store look particularly impressive, so I'm going to need to look for custom skins. We'll have to see what the future holds, but replacements for Vlad and Karma definitely appear to be rising up..
