Here is my review of the Angry Birds Space Softee Dough from CraZArt.\. This play set is recommended for children ages 4 and up. The dough/modeling compound was cool to play with, but creativity is a bit limited. All you have to do is create the main shape of the bird and then stick the plastic molded pieces in to create the final character. Not much to it. It is great for younger kids who are just developing their sculpting skills. Our main problem was that the set came with the same amount of green dough as the other two colors, which made it difficult to create both the pig AND Terence Bird. In order to solve this problem, we decided to use the plastic molded pieces on household items like fruit. The kids had a blast making a pear into an Angry Bird. I imagine it would work well with other soft food items like marshmallows or potatoes (a la Mr. Potato Head). The playmat was a little small at only 5"x7" and a little too sticky and flimsy. We decided to just use a cutting board. But I'm guessing that any hard washable surface will be fine. Doesn't compare to polymer clay like Sculpey that will bake hard.
