I'm Rachel and welcome to my third Let's Play of Alien Isolation on YouTube. Yes, I'm a little bit addicted to this game. A little bit. :D This time I've got some rules, "Rachel's Rules," which I hope this little teaser video will explain. I'm not going to do Nightmare again. I've just completed that, and it was tough. I'd like to give myself more distractions, bombs, etc. just because I think it makes the game more fun for me if I have more to work with instead of saving up so much. So yah, this one will be on Hard. BUT I really, really liked not having a map on Nightmare. It made the immersion feel really great, so I'm going to make a rule for myself that I can't check my Map (and my Journal along with that!). I'm also going to be totally ignoring save stations. I have to get to checkpoints that automatically save (like in elevators and transit cars) - I'm not even sure where the game does these auto saves, so it'll be fun ::) Also, I can't check my Map to see my updated objectives, so I better be paying attention. Also, no more "I could do that better" dying on purpose. I'm not going to let myself get killed if I didn't like how something went. This happened a lot with my Nightmare playthru, mostly since I had to be extra careful with resources. This time, every choice / mistake is mine to keep. In other words, NO DYING ON PURPOSE, Rachel, or reloading an earlier Save. This is a biggie for me. You know how I get with saving my goodies :D. Also, no killing humans directly. Feeding to Aliens or androids is okay. And lastly, I might not have these playthru videos out daily compared to my Nightmare playthru. I really want to dig into the DLCs, and also continue my Fallout 4 game (which I've shelved the past week), so this playthru will not get as frequent updates. This playthru is mainly just for FUN. I hope you look forward to it, and I hope you're having fun in your game, too!. My first Hard, Blind Alien Isolation playthru:.
