In this part, we spend some time with Walker and Jackson with Jackson making quite an off the cuff decision while Walker tries to nurture his relationship with Jackson's family members. So here’s the background story:. ****************************************. Merissa Langley ran away from home at the young age of 15, emancipating herself from her parents and starting her life anew. She grew up in a very rigid household, that was not terribly accepting of who she was – a young girl who wanted to experiment, to explore the world and explore who she was as a person. They saw her as their child, and therefore their property, and she couldn’t take it any longer. She’s been living on her own for seven years, and has never looked back. Anna was the only thing she regretted leaving behind. Although she never made any attempts to contact her little sister, for fear of revealing her location to her parents, she often thought of the toddler she had abandoned, and what might become of her in her formative years. Would she feel trapped and smothered like Merissa did. Or would she flourish under the intense pressures, better than those before her. Merissa got her answer in the most abrupt of ways, a phone call declaring that both she and her ten year-old sister had been orphaned. Suddenly, the lone-wolf Merissa was left with the decision between keeping her independence and her lifestyle, or taking care of the girl she had always regretted leaving behind.
